Die Sprache derer, die Putins Aggression in der Ukraine zu bekämpfen vorgeben, wird immer radikaler. Russland soll „ruiniert“ und wahlweise „vernichtet“ werden. Doch wer sich für den Frieden einsetzt, muss sich auch für den Dialog einsetzen, wie man im „Freitag“ scharfsinnig formuliert hat. Davon ist aber weit und breit kaum etwas zu sehen in Westeuropa und in Nordamerika. Nur in ganz wenigen Fällen fordern Journalisten und die Publikationen, für die sie arbeiten, auch die eigene Position und Sprache zu überdenken, zum Beispiel der „GUARDIAN“ in Großbritannien. Der schreibt in einer Schlagzeile: „Viele haben vorhergesagt, dass die Expansion der NATO zum Krieg führen würde. Diese Warnung wurden ignoriert“ …
Mobilmachung mit der Friedensbewegung
Jetzt ist er da, der Krieg! Diesmal in Europa, nur einen Katzensprung von zu Hause entfernt. Kaum jemand wollte sich seiner bewusst sein, als er noch in weiter Ferne wütete. Umso größer ist nun das Entsetzen.
Auf der Straße sammeln sich Hunderttausende, um für den Frieden zu demonstrieren. Es mag ihnen jedoch nicht so recht gelingen. Eine anti-aufklärerische Friedensbewegung macht ausgerechnet sie zur Kriegspartei. Ihre Großdemonstrationen geraten zur Mobilmachung und die Politik weiß den Moment zu nutzen. In Deutschland herrscht die Logik des Krieges.
